Arriving and ending in San José (Costa Rica)

Day 1

Arrival in San José, Costa Rica. Our guide will pick you up at the airport and bring you to a comfortable hotel in the city.

Day 2

Day off for own excursions in town.

Day 3

Departure from San José to Managua, Nicaragua. City tour of Managua in the afternoon. Managua, that is the capital of Nicaragua since 1852. Although en earthquake destroyed a great part of the center in 1972, the Cathedral is still well preserved. Theatre Ruben Dario and The National Palace are other places of interest and parts of the tour.

Day 4

Transportation from Managua to León. Of all there is to explore in León, one day is almost not enough, nevertheless, this day also includes a trip to the volcanic area of San Jacinto. For groups there is also the possibility of an optional visit to a rum distillery.

Day 5

León and Peneloya Beach. Optional visit to Juan Venado Island.

Day 6

Transportation from León to Granada. One of the most important natural and cultural sites, located by Lake of Nicaragua and in front of Mombacho Volcano.

Day 7

Visit to National Park Masaya Volcano and handicraft market in Masaya. The park is one of the most interesting and beautiful phenomenons of Nicaragua.

Day 8

Visit to View Point of Catarina and the Lagoon of Apoyo, a small lake 10 kilometers from Granada. The name origins from the taste of its water, Alt Poyec- salty water.

Day 9

In the morning we will go by private bus and boat to Ometepe Island. The island is located in the southwest part of Lake of Nicaragua, about 10 kilometers from the city of San Jorge located on the mainland.

Day 10

Day off.

Day 11

Transportation from Ometepe Island to Ecoplaya Beach Resort, located in Bahia Salinas, Coyotera Beach in the northwest part of the province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This part of the country is famous for its beautiful beaches and protected and/or ecological areas.

Day 12

Day off at Ecoplaya Resort or similar.

Day 13

Optional tour to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Accommodation in Ecoplaya Resort.

Day 14

In the morning you will have the opportunity to enjoy this spectacular area on your own and thereafter we will go back to San José.

Day 15

Transfer to the airport.
