Mombacho Volcano

Leaving the hotel early in the morning we will be taken to Mombacho Volcano that hosts one of the few cloud forests located on the pacific side of Nicaragua. The altitude is 1,400 meters above sea level. This is the fifth volcano in the chain and tourists are taken to the top to watch a great number of orchids unique for the site and a diverse fauna, appreciated in particular by bird lovers. On the top there is a small museum and a scientific laboratory. From this level, you can observe the crater of the volcano and an impressing view of the city Granada, the Lake of Nicaragua and Zapatera Island.
