Masaya is the folcloric center of Nicaragua, situated only 14 kilometers from the colonial city of Granada. The market is of special interest for those interested in the best and greatest variety of Nicaraguan art. In the market you can find 90% of the art produced in the country such as wood, leatherwork, stone goods and not to forget the beautiful paintings. This trade, together with the coffee, is the most important for the region.
