Along the 8-kilometer beach you can enjoy the turquoise water surrounding Islas de Maiz (Corn Islands). This is a small archipelago composed by only two but paradise like islands where you will find excellent fishing and snorkeling by the coral reefs.

A Spanish ship sunk in this part of the sea, only 18 feet under the surface of the water, in the 16 th century and is now part of the reef.

By plane from Managua it takes only 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach those islands. The smaller of the two is less exploited to tourism and a small paradise with unexplored nature, beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. This can only be reached by boat from the bigger Corn Island, a journey that takes about 40 minutes.
